Next DOM Symposium planned for spring 2011!

A symposium for the community of researchers and industrials dealing with various aspects of microbial formulation and stabilisation of living microorganisms in areas such as ● food ● agriculture ● environment
● biotechnology ● probiotics and ● biomedicine.

The major goal of the symposium is to promote interdisciplinary collaboration, to establish fruitful exchange of ideas and contacts between academia and industry from a multitude of domains, young and seniors, beginners and experienced. Moreover, the symposium addresses the potential of microbial formulation, its materials and technology.

Differently formulated and freeze-dried preparations of the same Lactobacillus strain, emphasising the importance of understanding formulation- and processvariables for successful freeze-drying.

The DOM research programme - Domestication of microorganisms - aims to decrease the use of chemicals in the environment, by generating new knowledge about how we can make good use of special properties of naturally occuring microorganisms.
